• Hi! I'm Kristi, a certified K-12 Art teacher with experience teaching art in both private and public schools from 2010-2023. My passion lies in art, education, and sharing the profound connections that art has within us & the world around us.

    The late & great Sir Ken Robinson’s Ted talks resonate within me to inspire & keep the power of creativity alive in the hearts & souls of all my students.

    I have a Bachelors degree in Studio Art & a minor in Psychology from the University of NE at Omaha, planned on pursuing Art Therapy but then decided to get my Masters in the Art of Teaching from College of St Mary instead & dove into the field of Art Education.

    I’ve been giving individual art lessons while teaching in the school setting & recently embarked on a new adventure by creating my own art studio where I can offer art lessons, workshops, events, birthday parties, & also work on murals & commission art.

    I'm a proud mom of two incredible sons who inspire me every day to be the best me & who fuel my desire for continuous personal growth and improvement. I love to swim, travel, go on adventures, paint murals, and watch my sons’ soccer games!

  • Welcome to Dreamland Art Studio! We provide a welcoming, safe space for everyone, from children to adults, to explore the world of art, hone in on art techniques, build a creative community, & have Fun!

    We offer a variety of classes that include: drawing, painting, clay, alcohol inks, resin, copper etching, scratch art & more. Along with learning art techniques we dive into diverse art movements and traditions from around the world.

    Classes generally run for four sessions. Each class lasts 1 hour & 10 minutes. We also offer workshops, events, & birthday parties for children-adults where you can immerse yourself in a themed project for one-two hours from start to completion.

    In-studio classes & workshops top off at 12 students per class/workshop. Sign up by age group.

    If you want to schedule an event or birthday party in-studio, we can accommodate up to 15 people. Please contact me so we can customize your event/birthday party.

    If you wish to schedule a mobile event or birthday party, we can come to you & accommodate up to 24 people.

    Custom events & birthday parties are completely custom depending on what you would like i.e. theme, art medium, props, photo booth, decorations, set up, clean up.

    I also offer Murals & Commission Art!

    Individual lessons & Portfolio work are also available, contact me to set something up.
